American Scaffold’s Ralph Amezcua Completes the Road2Reno Road Tour
American Scaffold is proud to have supported Ralph Amezcua, the Business Unit Leader for the San Diego branch, as he participated in the Road2Reno road tour. With a passion for classic cars and a dedication to his work, Ralph’s journey exemplified his commitment to both personal and professional growth.
A Leader at American Scaffold
Since its establishment in 2002, Ralph Amezcua has been an integral part of American Scaffold. Recognizing the company’s potential for growth, Ralph took on a comprehensive role as the Business Unit Leader for the San Diego branch. He was involved in all aspects of the business, from estimating and managing projects to marketing and hiring new employees, ensuring that all ongoing projects had well-maintained vehicles and equipment
“What I enjoy most about working here is the team I work with day in and day out; we are a family,” Ralph shared.
Participating in the Road2Reno
Ralph was invited to participate in the Road2Reno road tour by Jon Hensen from Currie Enterprises. This prestigious event, organized by Currie Enterprises in collaboration with Hot August Nights and Summit Racing Equipment, brought together car enthusiasts who built their own vehicles and participated in various car events. Held from August 5th to August 11th, 2024, the tour involved a rigorous schedule with daily driving, fuel stops, photo shoots, and VIP parking at various hotels and events.
“For me, this tour was an opportunity to elevate the social media status of my truck and, more importantly, to promote American Scaffold,” Ralph explained. “The success of the event is not only for me, but for the rest of my coworkers as far as building the American Scaffold brand.”
American Scaffold’s Support
All the Road2Reno participants had been meeting regularly to discuss and plan the event. Ralph saw an opportunity to contribute to the event as well as build the American Scaffold brand, so American Scaffold sponsored dinner for the first night of the cruise, which took place in Mammoth. Ralph appreciated the support from his employer, believing it would significantly enhance the company’s exposure.
Challenges and Preparation
Preparing for the Road2Reno road tour was not without its challenges. Ralph revamped the entire interior of his truck, encountering an electrical short that took days to resolve. Despite the challenges, he managed to get everything dialed in. Mentally and physically, Ralph was ready for the tour. Driving his classic truck was therapeutic for him, providing a much-needed break from daily work challenges. He focused on better nutrition and gym time to prepare for the journey.
Impact and Goals
Ralph looked forward to meeting new people and building friendships during the Road2Reno tour. He believed that the exposure from this event would create opportunities for American Scaffold’s growth. His advice to others interested in similar events was to surround themselves with good people to ensure a positive experience and start with local car events before moving up to larger ones.
Future Aspirations
This was Ralph’s first major road event, and he was optimistic about its success. He looked forward to future road event opportunities and saw his role at American Scaffold continuing to evolve. Over the past couple of years, his position had grown significantly, and he focused on marketing the company and enhancing its brand, contributing to the growth of the San Diego branch and beyond.
“Right now, I’m trying to market the company and put the best brand out there. I feel that by doing this, it will generate so much more growth not only for the San Diego branch, but for all other branches,” Ralph explained.
A Personal Journey
For Ralph, preparing for the Road2Reno tour was therapeutic. He set goals for what he wanted to achieve with his truck and met them all. He emphasized the importance of having an outlet to balance work and personal life, encouraging others to find and pursue their own passions.
