Major Maintenance Project at Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial
The Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial, located in La Jolla, California, is set to undergo a significant maintenance project starting April 22, 2024. This memorial, known for its large white cross erected in 1954, serves as a tribute to the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The project will involve a professional cleaning of the iconic cross, as well as painting and other maintenance tasks. This initiative is led by BERNARDS, an Employee-Owned Construction Company, which is generously providing its services “pro bono.”
In addition to BERNARDS, American Scaffold, Stonhard Commercial and Industrial Flooring, F&S Masonry, and OHE Painting and Wallcovering are all contributing their expertise and materials at no charge. These local businesses are coming together to honor the legacy of our veterans through their combined efforts and professional skills.
The collaboration on this project underscores the community’s commitment to preserving the memorial’s integrity and ensuring it remains a dignified place of remembrance for future generations.
